Haircuts

Today, while Ella was at camp, the rest of us got haircuts. Jonah was long overdue for one, so now, with his short hair and the bruise on his nose healing, he is beginning to look like a respectable little boy again. Ella had another fun day at camp playing with her friend Elena. We hear they have set up a play date for themselves for tomorrow. We'll have to see if the grownups get our act together on that one!
In the afternoon, I (Dara) had a meeting with my INSERM collaborators. It was fantastic. There is a lot of great research happening in their unit. I am very excited to work with the people there. Abe, meanwhile successfully navigeted the Paris metro with two children and a stroller in tow. Work on the designs for the synagogue in Ohio continues well in his spare moments while trying to get Ella and Jonah to take naps in their shared bedroom (a loosing battle).
On our evening stroll tonight, we went north to the Rue de Faubourg de Temple. There we experienced the frenzy of Paris shopping a few days before the end of the sales. On the way home, we were looking for bread for dinner. One bakery had a line out the door, so we figured it must be good and waited on the line. The baguettes had just come out of the oven and tasted like heaven.
We love hearing from all of you. Thanks for all of your notes!

Where are the pictures of YOUR fancy parisian haircuts?
How gorgeous is my Jonah!!?? I cant stand it!!
Bonjour!
Brushing up on my French, I've learned a new word: "Zut!" which means "darn." But "merveilleux" is much more appropriate for all your accomplishments.
Amusez-vous bien!
Love,
Grammy and Grand-pere D
PS Will we recognize you with your new hair cuts?
