Red Tape part II

Incredibly, another day of dealing with bureaucracy with nothing concrete to show for it. We visited many offices (each one clear across town from the one before it). On the positive side, we are getting a lot of practice speaking French, we mastered the metro with kids, and we happened upon the Montparnasse cemetery, which is the final resting place of, among others, Satre, Baudelaire, Ionesco, de Maupassant, and the Guggenheim family. Very cool to wander around there. And, best of all, tomorrow is a holiday (Bastille Day), so all offices are closed.
Ella was thrilled to find French music on her walkman (or “man-walker” as she calls it; pretty soon her French may be better than her English!).
