The new school
Hooray, Jonah had a good day at his new school. We stayed a while until he felt comfortable. The teachers are sweet, there are lots of toys, the other kids are all very happy. His teacher took him to the window to wave goodbye. He cried a little bit when we left (actually you could hear him half way up the mountain), but then he stopped. He had a good morning, played with the pretend kitchen, the dinosaurs, and the puzzles. They did drawing, but he decided he'll draw next time. We picked him up after lunch (he liked the pasta, but didn't care for the artichoke sauce). He says he wants to go back tomorrow.
Ella also had a good day. Her teacher reports that her work is excellent. She sat with some of the other girls at lunch today and apparently had a little conversati0n (one of the other girls said a certain food was not good, Ella ate it anyway. It was evidently very funny. I guess you had to be there).
During the morning that the kids were both at school, we enjoyed a little grownup exploring time at the Marche au Puces (flea market), a vast and fascinating market, mostly of antiques where you can find everything from vintage furniture to art to clothing to jewelry. In the afternoon, we both got some work done. What a relief to have both kids happy at school!

SO happy to hear this. I think Jonah should have made himself a better pasta sauce in the pretend kitchen.
