A last visit with ..

With less than a month until we head home, our calendar is packed with "one last visit" with many of the friends we have made here. While we will be sad to leave them, it is wonderful to see just how many good friends we have made in such a short time. So, this weekend we had one last visit with...
Crystal, Stephan, Noa, and Lior, who came over Friday night for dinner.
Stuart, Jane, Olivia, Juliette, and Sophia, who we went with to the Brocante (antique market) in the 3rd, and brought a blanket to spread out and the kids' outgrown clothes and toys to sell at the kids' stuff market in front of the Marie. It's the first time we've seen anything close to a yard sale in Paris. Jonah and Sophia had a great time playing with the toys they had supposedly outgrown (good advertising for how fun the toys are, I guess). We sold almost all of our stuff, and spent most of the money we made on French books and videos to take home (even though we promised ourselves we wouldn't buy another thing!). Everything we didn't sell, I gave to an American woman I befriended in the park afterwards who had an 18 month old. A win-win situation.
Harley, Anne, Gabrielle, and Calypso met us at the Champs de Mars, where we played on the playground. We lost, hunted for, and found Gabrielle's gymnastics medal (Abe didn't give up looking through the sand under the climber until he found it). Jonah rode the carousel and caught a ring on his stick - even though they were very small and the carousel spun very fast. Harley and Abe worked a bit on the LCD computer program they are developing for the synagogue memorial display. And the children entertained one another while the grownups visited some more over dinner at a local couscous place. Luckily, they, at least, will be in Toledo this summer, so we will get to see them again soon.
